Nice location, bad landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location near park, fairly large apartments.
Cons:
Landlord allows one loud, disrespectful tenant to continue living in building despite destroying property and threatening other tenants. It makes the units near hers unlivable. Landlord is aware and refuses to do anything.

One of the worst apts ever - beware upstairs neighbor
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lots of water pressure. This particular unit has a large open concept.
Cons:
The upstairs neighbor has a thriving mental illness and/or drug sales and use business. Parties until morning. Unlicensed child care out of her room. Children and adults doing laps up and down the apartment with no rugs on their floors. Landlord does nothing. Claims he talks to her but every other neighbor in the building says he bribes her to stay quiet (which fails miserably). Hallways of building are in complete disrepair and filthy. If something needs fixing, landlord will attempt to fix it himself which is always a half-assed repair. Won’t spend a dime on the building.
Advice to owner:
Get rid of 3R before you lose more tenants than you already have. Stop being shady. Stop supporting Trump.

Avoid if possible
Former Tenant
Pros:
- has backyard - neighbors are mostly nice - big rooms - location is awesome
Cons:
- landlord is not responsive, will not fix things for ages unless after you move out so he can jump the rent. He also does his own home improvement, so he makes a lot of excuses. Some apartments never have their issues fixed. He does not like to call professionals to fix things, so some solutions are temporary - some mice - heating in this building is bizarre, some apartments control others - exposed brick in apartment probably legally needs to be replaced or at least cleaned - he will not give you a contract that he signed - there is a high likelihood the landlord raised the rent too quickly based on “upgrades” to the apartment. Get the apartments historical public record - one neighbor is very very intense and noisy, landlord will not deal with them

Building plagued by one tenant
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large units, industrial style appliances, exposed brick
Cons:
Leaking ceiling Responsiveness is lackluster Building overall maintenance is grotesque Backyard is a dump Landlord MFs every other tenant and current politics somehow has comes into it? Terrible maintenance And of course…
The worst possible tenant/neighbor experience. Woman is completely unfit. Total disregard for anyone’s well being. Has shady character friends that try to act tough. Had banged on her door to confront them many of times to which they hid behind their door. Has anywhere from 1 to 6 kids in a 1 bedroom apartment. Has ex partners yelling from the street and trying to break down her door, yelling profanities. Essentially, imagine a worst case scenario neighbor and this is worse.
Advice to owner:
Get rid of your tenant and stop blaming local politics for your terrible job managing your building.
