341 10th St, *NOT& 303* — My experience was overall good, not everyone's is
Former Tenant
Pros:
Almost soundproof walls between units Balconies I think for every unit Renovated apartments have nice real wood floors, tile kitchens, decent cabinets & appliances Heat works most of the time and is HOT Lots of closets in 1BR (entry, hallway, bedroom) Incredible views of Park Slope area Super is fairly responsive, maintenance staff are nice Fairly clean building with staff almost always present maintaining trash / recycling / cleaning In-building laundry with several washers and dryers Other tenants are very friendly, lots of longtime residents Didn't have any
Cons:
Windows are old and drafty One of the two elevators is frequently out of service Ongoing problems with package thefts, sometimes from tenants in the building Heat gets VERY hot with no way to reduce it, apart from covering the vents somehow (I created fitted covers with an insulating foil material) Cooking smells, occasional smoking in a unit (which isn't allowed), sounds, etc. can waft between units through the vents Older residents, lower income residents, and/or rent controlled / stabilized tenants (not sure exact details) who likely live in un-renovated units tend to get ignored when repairs are needed Some ants, roaches, etc. but that's par for the course Stellar Management (owner) is in the process of trying to build another large apartment building or two immediately adjacent to 341 10th st, which will disrupt views, cause dust / noise / disrup
Advice to owner:
Treat your longterm residents with basic respect

Ok Place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator mostly worked. The super was pretty responsive.
Cons:
Management are huge CON MEN. Dont listen to anything they say. As long as you’re ok with paying crazy high rent for apartments that should technically be rent stabilized then you’re good.
Advice to owner:
Stop Liying and charge people the correct amount for rent.

Affordable and Safe Place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Generally neighbors were nice, many had lived on premises for years and there's a nice community among most people. It was a very accessible building with lots nearby.
Cons:
Packages easily stolen, little accountability by managers to remedy. Some incidents with non-building residents wandering around, possibly stealing packages. When I left they did change the lock system though, so that might help the problem now.
Advice to owner:
Make security cameras in lobby more obvious

Negligent management. So many issues.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location was good.
Cons:
Management is non responsive to major issues: brown water on a weekly basis; air leaking through cracks in apartment; temperature regularly below legal requirements in winter; dead cockroaches left in hallways for weeks; people smoke weed in hallways regularly and nothing gets done; water pressure is laughable; building got a failing energy grade.
Advice to owner:
Fix this place up. How have you not been sued?

High rise building in Park Slope
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean building, good heat, building super is always helpful
Cons:
Delivered packages are not placed in a secure location, non tenants are able to enter the building easily, and all floors and stairwells should have security cameras
Advice to owner:
A security officer showed be posted in the main lobby, along with cameras on every floor, have quarterly meetings with tenants
