Beautiful building on the outside, neglected on the inside
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful block and neighborhood. The building is close to several subway stations, restaurants, as well as Prospect Park.
Cons:
While the building is a beautiful historic brownstone, it’s not very well-kept. Many features have not been updated, the common area it’s very rarely cleaned.

The landlords are very slow to act when there’s problems and often will not address issues Until months have gone by or there’s no other option.

The rent is expensive for the condition and is often increased every year.

Several tenants have had their security withheld for bogus reasons.
Advice to owner:
Do more than cash rent checks. Put more effort into the building, take care of the common area, Keep the rent low or make the updates to justify the prices.
