Loved living here overall!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Priced way under market for the space and neighborhood! The location truly cannot be beat in terms of neighborhood and proximity to Prospect Park and grocery stores. The exposed brick is nice, rooms all get nice light, and the landlord is extremely laid back, if not the most proactive about fixing things. He allowed us to hang things with nails and even install shelves. The kitchen has lots of space and storage. Nice hardwood floors. And roof access (the roof is unfinished but huge and a really nice place to take a picnic blanket up).
Cons:
The main issue is that the radio from the pizzeria is Very Audible through the living room floor and the floor of one of the 7th Ave side bedrooms. Once, there was a mouse issue, somewhat unavoidable living above a pizzeria. The pipes from the shower are also pretty old and have needed snaking a few times to prevent drain stoppage.
Advice to owner:
Coordinate with Pizza Plus to have the radio moved

Beautiful Location. Terrible mice problem
Former Tenant
Pros:
The park slope neighborhood is perfect in every way, this block has literally five different delicious restaurants and a small grocery store. The kitchen in this apartment is the largest I have ever seen in NYC. Exposed brick. Good light.
Cons:
Lived there for two years and was never able to fully rid ourselves of mice and roaches. It's improved now, but at its peak we were seeing approx one mouse a week. Other odd grievances, the shower drain frequently clogs, the kitchen window doesn't close properly, seems like once a month we have something strange like "the dishwasher is filling with scummy water and leaking out the sides" or "the lock on the front door suddenly doesn't work anymore", both and more of which have been fixed but still strange and frustrating every time we encounter something like that.
Advice to owner:
You have to hire a real exterminator, the last guy you sent in suggested that the mice were climbing in through the window-- this after an assessment we paid for out of pocket revealed a Huge hole in the wall behind the stove that they were clearly coming in and out of.
