Slow response from management, old appliances, garbage, hallway cleanliness
Advice to owner:
Clean the hallways and provide lights!

Has so much potential, but not worth the pain
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, price, and roof access.
Cons:
Where to begin? On a macro level, this building has MAJOR structural and plumbing issues that the owners “fix” with shoddy, cheap, band-aid solutions that work in the short term. The majority of units in this building have major issues (think literal holes in the ceilings and walls, leaks, and, oh yeah, no smoke alarms). It’s very dirty, both outside and in, with terrible garbage management, and, if the rumors are true, a squirrel problem on the top floor. On a micro level, you simply will never see the super. Management ignores all calls and never sends a professional in unless you’re dealing with, yup, a ceiling collapse (this has happened to MORE THAN ONE unit). At least it’s easy to bond with your neighbors over shared trauma. It’s a real shame because the units themselves are quite spacious and in one of the very best locations in Brooklyn, but sadly you get what you pay for. Trust me when I say that it’s simply not worth it.
Advice to owner:
Stop doing the bare minimum and try having an ounce of respect for your tenants, especially the ones who have been here for many years (some have lived here for several decades!)

Plumbing disasters abound
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, sizable apartment and pretty street
Cons:
Huge plumbing issues, ceiling caving in in multiple apartments, squirrel infestation, asbestos, mice
Advice to owner:
Take care of the building! Great bones but not well maintained!
