Small apts, safe building, bad pest management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent stabilized, owner/management is responsive
Cons:
Studios are tiny. Roaches throughout building. No regular extermination. Apartment was not clean upon move-in
Advice to owner:
Hire bimonthly extermination and actually clean your vacant units before move in.

Well maintained but who knows
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, rent stabilized, quiet, well maintained.
Cons:
Not a lot of cons but I’d beware because this building just got purchased from long time local owners. Beware if the rents are high and the apartments have been gut renovated. I’d look up your rental history from NY DHCR and file a formal complaint because you may be overpaying.
Advice to owner:
Just be responsive and kind to your tenants even if they’re not paying market rate. Be good communicators and respect them.
