good apartment in crown heights
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great price and location, not many units in the building so its fairly quiet but not to the point that you feel you can't make noise, and rent stabilized. Owner is great at moving packages to your door when she's in the building or if you let her know you're out of town she hold on to them for you - so nice!
Cons:
Owner communication is a little all over the place, if you leave a voicemail with an issue she won't respond but will just show up the next day hoping you'll be there. There's no way to know if she actually got your message.
Advice to owner:
be more responsive or create a better system for maintenance requests

Great Location, Old Charm
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very close to the park and on a quiet street. The apartments are small and outdated but the size is great for one person. Plenty of windows but given the location, you don’t get direct light.
Cons:
The walls and ceiling of the apartment seem thin because the sounds of my neighbors, including their walking, is amplified. There are days when I have no hot water and the heat is turned down low.
