- Flooding - Pest including mice, rats, spiders, household bugs - Management is very disorganized - They report your rent payment to creditors - Thin walls so sound travels - Yearly rent increases of $300 - Homeless men hanging around the apartment
Advice to owner:
Please do something about the homeless persons hanging around outside & actually care about your tenants

cons outweigh the pros
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good neighbors, halls are always cleaned by management
Cons:
No repairs or tickets being fixed until last minute for example we mentioned in our lease Renewal that we shouldn’t the rent because they never fix anything and the next day they came and fixed everything like we didn’t ask them that before previously to fix stuff.

Mens shelter issues otherwise great apartment!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are great. Near so many transportation options. Shopping nearby. Parks, museums, library walking distance. Shelter guys can be very friendly, helpful, even protective of residents.Very spacious duplex apartment. Very responsive management. Near top rated public, charter & private schools & a CUNY campus. Property management promptly addresses any serious issues with the shelter.
Cons:
Neighbors are transient because of the shelter. Everyone moves after a few months. The shelter guys are moved every couple of weeks so its always new guys. Soon as we get cool w some, they're gone! Some shelter guys make accessing the property difficult at times. The newest influx very loudly spends ALL DAY/NIGHT on this side of the street making sleeping, work from home & daily living difficult for street facing residents. Never was an issue in the past. Very recent issue but persistent for a couple months.
Advice to owner:
Work closer with the shelter toward prevention.
