Terrible Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Place is huge. Appliances are nice. W/D in unit. Bedrooms are on separate ends.
Cons:
The management is terrible. Many issues with the unit that hasn't been fixed. We have the first floor unit, which also comes with basement unit. The unit floods every time it rains. And it floods quite a bit. Multiple sewage pipe burst throughout the apartment. Has happened twice, the completely gutted the ceiling while we were still in unit. Management gave no timeline on how long it would take to fix. Took them about 3 weeks+ to fix. Ceiling was covered with mold, open hole in ceiling for several weeks. We were not compensated at all even though it was unlivable conditions. Have had mice and termite issues since we have been in unit. Mice come from behind stove via a hole which management refuses to repair. Termites are all of the unit, causing tiny holes in all the walls where they come out from and build nests. Each time we have an issue come up, it's next to impossible to get a hold of management. Have called, and emailed several times before we hear anything back. Have never met the landlord/even heard anything from him regarding the issues we've had. Have been in unit for 2 years and highly don't reccomend anyone moving to properties from this landlord. Also the tenants on the top floor moved out in middle of their lease due to not having any of their issues resolved.
Advice to owner:
PLEASE RESPECT YOUR TENANTS AND TREAT THEM LIKE HUMAN BEINGS. IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO HAVE YOUR TENANTS PAY FULL RENT FOR THE CONDITIONS WE LIVED IN. HAVING A HOLE IN OUR CEILING FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS AND STILL MAKING US PAY RENT WHEN IT WAS NOT LIVING CONDITIONS AT ALL.
