Pretty adequate situation going on
Former Tenant
Pros:
Maintenance is pretty quick to respond (if you pester them)
You can pay rent through an app—just be sure to use your bank and not a card to pay or the inconvenience fees are steep (upwards of $70)
Pet friendly!
Access code to building and access code to apartment — no forgetting your keys.
Laundry machines in building (paid via app)
Cons:
The stairway isn’t clean and often smells
Two bedrooms have great light but the third doesn’t and there is no window in the living room/kitchen area
Tried to stack fees onto us but proved they had no grounds to do so. Wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to do it again
Pessy is VERY difficult to communicate with. She is rude to everyone, and argumentative. Keep a record of all interactions with this woman as you will often need to prove yourself.
While maintenance is quick, jobs often need repeating. The washer and dryer were broken for months before we finally got them replaced.
Heat is uneven across the apartment.
The windows condense and mold.
Advice to owner:
Discuss treatment of tenants with Pessy.

Decent apartment building.
Former Tenant
Pros:
I really like my bedroom a lot, which is why I’ve stayed here for awhile. However, management is not the friendliest and it always smells mildewy in the building.
Cons:
Management does not seem to care about tenants needs. Living rooms do not have any windows which is pretty awful. Management were not at all understanding nor empathetic during the height of covid with rent. I was one roommate short and had to pay the rent in full.
Advice to owner:
They should listen and care about tenants more and maintain the building better. Laundry is expensive.

Horrible, wet apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, roof access
Cons:
Severe water damage that was never repaired by building (mold in ceiling), horrible natural light, washer dryer are overpriced and you beed to dry clothes three cycles to dry a normal size load (comes to over $10 a load), no closet space, lights don’t work
Advice to owner:
Fix the leaks properly from the outside instead of plastering over the water marks and calling it “fixed”
