Looks good in photos but comes with issues.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Proximity to transit and places are walkable.
Cons:
Property management is lethargic. Trash is not well kept. I had a delivery person call the front of the building “rat city” because of the trash pile up and rat situation. They’ve been flagged by sanitation multiple times for it. Power in the building is also an issue. Constant light flickering, top floors lost all their power recently but I think con Edison was able to fix it. The place looks good but it has underlying issues between infrastructure and bad property management. Won’t be renewing because I can get a better situation for the same price or less elsewhere.
Advice to owner:
Listening to your tenants and being more proactive on their requests would go a long way.

Renovated but a lot of little nuisances
Former Tenant
Pros:
The Rooftop and lack of bugs, etc. inside the building (there’s rats and roaches everywhere in front). Maintenance was responsive and helpful.
Cons:
Garbage area was disgusting, rats and roaches everywhere. Walls are super thin so you can hear every little noise from your neighbors, I could hear their phone vibrate upstairs. Management company is super unhelpful, whenever I called about something non- maintenance related, they were beyond unhelpful and rude. Pipes near my room creak really loudly. There’s not really any vents or windows in living room/ kitchen/ bathrooms so mold forms quickly and air is always thick/ humid. Walls weren’t finished being painted when we moved in and there’s paint spots all over the wooden floors. Basement/ laundry area is not maintained well. Packages were getting stolen and mail envelopes were thrown on the floor in the entrance. Front door key code access stops working often and you will be locked out unless someone can open the door from inside, it wouldn’t usually get fixed until the next day or that night.
Advice to owner:
Just do better in cleaning, managing the building, it’s a great looking apartment.
