Decent building and location, awful landlord. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Pros:
Nice location and building (for the most part)
Cons:
The landlord is slimy and skirts (if not outright breaks) the law quite often. He had us sign a sublet agreement after showing the apartment without mentioning it was a sublet. We are not even sure if the 'person' we are subletting from even exists.

The landlord lies often and generally is untrustworthy. He got into a fight with my roommate, and the super has cursed at my girlfriend before for no reason. It's not a safe building to live in as a woman.
Advice to owner:
Stop being a landlord before you end up in jail again.
