Good besides pests and floors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet (especially if not facing Eastern Parkway), has elevator, common areas are kept clean
Cons:
The building has roaches, keeping your apartment clean will not keep them out. Upstairs neighbor noise is loud, even for NYC
Advice to owner:
Better sealing of cracks to prevent roaches entering apts

Wonderful bldg on the Parkway
Former Tenant
Pros:
It has the best landscaping on parkway. The vestibule was always clean as well as the rear elevator. My apartment received so much light despite being in the back and windows facing another building. The block parties are amazing. The apartments were spacious even after renovation which is hard to come by in NYC.
Cons:
Biggest con was the front elevator was always out of service, never repaired - very upsetting knowing there were elderly on that side of the building. It was a tactic to force older residents to move. Also, no laundry in the building, we (tenants asked on repeat). Landlord was not willing to consider. There were a couple of times the heat didn’t work in the dead of winter.
Advice to owner:
Cherish your older tenants because they take pride in the building too. You can get new tenants but that doesn’t mean they’ll respect the property. Add laundry in the basement!
