Pros:
Convenient location. Near 2,3,4,5 trains. Friendly neighbors.
Cons:
Overall building maintenance is borderline adequate. It’s taken a dive since COVID came into effect. No protocols were put in place to protect the residents.
Most issues in the unit were bandaid fixes. Ex. Painting over mold, stretching appliances to their last minute. Freezers breaking and losing food. Pipes clogging, etc.
Will not reduce rent to accommodate roommates moving out due to lack of COVID measures in their building. Stated that we’re already paying less than the market value.
Advice to owner:
Stop being cheap, stop being inconsiderate, stop laughing at your tenants when they reach out for help. Stop playing games with people. Stop targeting the older tenants and literally flooding their apartments to get them out. Just stop. Give the buildings back to dad.
