Owners not paying their bills?
Former Tenant
Pros:
I don't feel unsafe here and I've not had a pest problem so far- very rare for Brooklyn.
Cons:
There are OFTEN a group of young men in the lobby smoking and drinking every night as if it's the local hangout spot...but it's a no-smoking building? But who can complain if the ringleader is the damn building manager???

Rental agreement states no pets. MULTIPLE tenants have cats and dogs in this building. Lease also states no washer & dryer, but guess what? At least half of the apartments on my floor have a washer and dryer.

Heat & Hot water go out REGULARLY, and the excuse is always "we're waiting for a petrol delivery" or "the boiler is messed up." Sometimes, you get NO RESPONSE as to why it's freezing and there's no hot water.

Also, tenants get FREQUENT letters from ConEd saying power to the common areas is about to be shut off for non-payment, meaning management is not paying ConEdison.

What exactly is going on here???
Advice to owner:
Get your act together! Hard working people who pay their entire rent on time all the time live here, and expect you to provide the amenities you are supposed to provide according to the rental agreement and the laws of this City. If you can't handle it then sell the building to someone who can!

Mice mice mice
Former Tenant
Pros:
Used to live in this building and loved my neighbor next door. Loved on the 4th floor so no noise above. It was inexpensive for a large two bedroom.
Cons:
So many mice and one time a rat. Took forever to have problems fixed like a broke radiator that had steam come out to it became water and caused so much water damage. Management doesn’t respond to you and never got down payment back when we left . No heat or hot water for days. Then the building next door had toxic fumes come into our apartment the last few months we lived their. It got us out.
Advice to owner:
Take care of your building
