It was nice until....
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building water pressure is good and the electrical radiators give off nice heat. There is a problem with one of the rooms during the winter, it gets really cold. Even though the building is across from public housing, it really is not that bad.
Cons:
The garbage collects and the person responsible for throwing it out, comes after garbage day. There is a rodent and pest problem. There has been a bedbug issue thanks to the wonderful neighbors on the third floor. The third floor tenants are horrible, the floors in the apartments are not solid and so you hear them stomping on the floor. They also don’t have control of their children so they run, stomp, and jump throughout the apartment. If you ask them to please stop, there response is that they are kids. These wonderful activities start as soon as they wake and all through the day. There is no such thing as restful sleep because they do not work and they make noise all night. There is no winning in this situation. You would think that since your paying your rent there is some form of respect and honestly there is none, from either the tenants on 3rd floor or building manager.
Advice to owner:
Take better care of the property and do not allow old tenants to just give the apartment to friends, with out screening the trash that comes in.
