It’s not a bad move
Former Tenant
Pros:
The size of the apartment is decent.
Cons:
A lot of pest and too much to name. This building needs renovations badly.
Bedbugs. EVERYWHERE. roaches. So dirty and disgusting. Piss on the floor, shit on the floor. Worse than the pits of hell.
Advice to owner:
Quit your job

947 Montgomery
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Elevator in building - Live-in Super - Great neighbors
Cons:
- packages were stolen, no working cameras in mail area/lobby (even tho there are signs) - cockroaches - pest control was good, but would only come out on specific day of the month. During normal work hours too - trash rooms need more TLC
Advice to owner:
I know a lot of the residents have been there for many years, but it’s time to spruce the place up a bit. Get more security in the lobby/mail area. The lobby is massive, you could easily get a package concierge locker to help with theft. Also, pest control should be mandatory to all apartments at least 2-3x a year. Any other time, can be voluntarily. Victor is amazing also!!

Great price for the size but problematic
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the 4 and bus lines, and decent for shopping. The one bedrooms (and 2 bedrooms, from what I saw) were fairly good sized. Rent stabilized.
Cons:
A lot of the residents are extremely sketchy - packages stolen, parties and loud music, you name it. Garbage would regularly pile up in the compacter rooms - let's just say lots of neighbors didn't realize you're supposed to tie your garbage bags closed. Building was hit and miss on fixing things and after a while the cheap rent wasn't worth the stress of this place.
Advice to owner:
Fix things - really simple

Terrible avoid this hell hole
Former Tenant
Pros:
People are nice ? Rooms are big
Cons:
Where do I start… - BEDBUGS !!!!!! Building exterminator treatments do not work, management doesn’t care - ITS DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY!!! Garbage builds up in the trash rooms and attracts roaches and flies, hallways always smell of trash - packages and mail consistently get stolen, on my first day here my mirror got stolen when I ran outside for less than 3 mins to grab something from my car, my debit card got stolen from my mailbox, I now get all my mail sent to a friends address because it seems almost every package goes missing - mold in the bathrooms - two out of the four radiators in the apartment don’t work and the super refuses to fix them - AVOID THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY!!! They’re terrible to work with, communication is horrible, they will belittle every issue you bring to their attention, and overall rude !!!!
packages constantly get stolen, management nonresponsive, pests (roaches and bedbugs), building door is regularly broken, the building is nit maintained and is filthy
Advice to owner:
be more responsive and do a proper job

DO NOT LIVE HERE!
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are no pros in this building.
Cons:
There are a WHOLE lot of cons. This building needs to get a whole new management cause they do not care about their tenants. Our packages are always getting stolen, the elevator is always out of service, the heat is on a timer, the hot & cold water be in and out. There’s a HUGE bed bug infestation as well as pests. The floors are cracked, they use caulk to fix the floors (another violation), bricks are cracked (another violation) the main door is always broken and the lobby always has a homeless person running around taking peoples packages. This place is soooo trash it needs to get taken off the market as a whole.
Advice to owner:
THEY ALL NEED TO GET FIRED.

Avoid this place
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large spacious apartment
Cons:
Owner is not responsive to tenant complaints Owner tries to skimp on providing things to tenants Bedbugs, roaches etc Garbage room is unkempt The super has his kids doing a lot of the “maintenance” for the building such as garbage and mopping There’s a lot of loud music at all hours of the day/night Elevator breaks down frequently Packages are frequently stolen
