Rent & Rat Trap
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet, Close To Train,
Cons:
Ventilation is so bad you can smell the neighbors cooking fish in the entire place; water leaks in ceilings, permanent moldy smell in hallways, maintenance is non existent, rats in basement, washer & dryer in basement is old & dirty, neighbors allowed to keep bikes/shoes etc in lobby's & hallways which is a violation.
Advice to owner:
Hire new management. Fix the roof & actually make it so it's useable. Fix the basement & install new w&d. Get rid of the mold smell in the building. So much potential but all this is right now is a rent and rat trap

Ok building, terrible management/landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a cute building/apartment, the neighbors are friendly, and there is a rooftop.
Cons:
The management is horrible to get in contact with. While living there you would have to hassle them to get a response. Then after leaving and trying to get the security deposit back, they didn’t answer for weeks. Aside from that, there is a bad roach problem, and we kept our apartment very clean. First week we moved in water was coming in from the windows in the living room and a pipe burst under the sink. The full year I lived there I only saw one rat, but it was running down the staircase which was horrifying. The washing machine barely washes your clothes so you have to do two loads when washing it.
Advice to owner:
Replace Bina. Communication between management to tenants to can improve drastically.
