A lovely place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful apartment with great appliances/fixtures. Never had any problems with pests in the apartment, an exterminator comes by once a month (if you’re there to let them in). The landlord is responsive to problems and is kind, only sometimes a little hard to get in touch with. Convenient spot by the J train. Neighbors have been great, some noise and musical instruments/music playing but it’s a building with 8 units! If you can’t handle that, don’t live in NY. Laundry in basement works well and uses an app. Storage in basement is a plus.
Cons:
Packages have been stolen from the entryway. The laundry area in basement gets messy very quickly, needs to be cleaned more often. The control panel for air/heat is old and difficult to use, should be replaced.
Advice to owner:
Clean laundry area more often and tighter security for the door.
