READ BEFORE RENTING
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is spacious, the room layouts are great. The bathroom is nice.
Cons:
Br careful of bait and switch- was shown one apartment then had another one in the lease. Was told it would be identical, and it was, just COMPLETELY filthy and missing doorknobs. Dirt, leaves, insects that came in through the air conditioning hole in the wall they left open. By roommate’s door was too big, they couldn’t close it. I called them and let them know and asked for someone to come and they told me that they did clean, which resulted in an argument and the manager coming and helping us clean instead of hiring someone. Ridiculous.

LAUNDRY IS A SCAM! Do not rent because of laundry in the building! I ended up having to go to the laundromat anyway. There used to be 6 washers and dryers, they ate your money and you would have to let management know and they would eventually pay you back. They kept breaking down so they replaced with only 4! And you had to use a card, and they only gave you one per apartment!! If you wanted your own you had to pay. If you lost it, they were $40 for a replacement! Ridiculous! Again, issues with the machines not working all the time, specifically dryers. You’d put them on high for an hour and come back to damp clothes.

The stairs are incredibly dangerous. You WILL slip and fall, especially during the winter months. They are also falling apart, you can get caught on them. One if the steps is higher than the others which is also dangerous.

The gate would get stuck all the time. I was late multiple times to work because of this. One time it wouldn’t open from the outside so my roommates would have to come down to get me. It took them OVER A WEEK to fix!


Advice to owner:
LOOK AT YOUR EMAILS! And pick up the phone! We shouldn’t have to leave 3 voicemails in order to get a response! FIX THE STAIRS, they are SO dangerous! You would have more loyal tenants that way.
