Rent Stabilized Units: Unknown
We use both renters self-reports and the annual DHCR registrations to determine if a building has rent-stabilized units. It is possible that a landlord missed an annual registration and therefore the info is not reflected on openigloo. We update this data when the city updates their records. Not the Worst, Not the Best
Former Tenant
Pros:
• Plenty of Space
• Neighbors in building keep to themselves
• Centralized location
• Security cameras and keypad entry

Has a lot of flaws, biggest of which is the landlord. Pros make it worth living there for a bit vs the hassle of moving and hoping you find a better landlord in NYC.
Cons:
• Dead roaches would randomly appear once in a blue moon
• Not all apartments are renovated the same
• Random cosmetic changes in lieu of real ones
• Doors and windows super are thin so you can hear any action in the halls or outside.

Landlord has to be asked to turn on the heat in the apartment during winter otherwise it doesn’t kick in until 2-3AM and then gets turned off later in the morning. Also, landlord is easy to reach but slow to respond. You have to keep after him and even then he tries to sweet talk his way out of it. He may not even fix the situation but says he already sent someone (depending on the severity of the issue).
