DO NOT LIVE THERE
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are not many pros honestly.
Cons:
The walls are thin so you can hear people cough and squatters that live there who argue anytime of the day and night. The police have coke multiple times. They have broken windows into my old backyard, thrown televisions at the building, banging at anytime! The landlord dos not give two shits and can not compensate for not doing enough to get them out. They have not been paying for a year plus now. There were leaks, hot glue for the fridge handles, management not following up on damages caused by squatters and the quick fixes that fall apart, and more. They are greedy terrible landlords. Also we’re not allowed to have pets but somehow there is a dog who is always barking in the middle of the night, morning, and anytime. Not good if you work from home and also need to sleep. There was someone new tenant who moved in with a big dog too. There’s one maintenance man that comes drunk and acts very weird. The garbage will be filled up so bad and smell until you call them to get maintenance to clean it. During the summer so many flies came into the building because of the trash and big fat rats! The rats hang out there because they do not take out the trash!
Also, the squatters that argue all the time will make you go insane. It’s a young man and a young woman who are always fighting about her constant miscarriages she has every month to stay with him. She calls me the f word because she found out he was having relationships with a man. She also threatens to burn down the entire building when he tries to kick her out. I have been woken up in the middle of the night, early morning, and more trying to go to bed. There’s no sense of home in that apartment and the least the landlord can do is lower the rent. That’s why I left. I am not going to pay more for people to be arguing upstairs who don’t even pay bills!
The pictures I sent are of the water leakage that they never fixed. It messed up the walls, caved in on the heater pipe. When you open the door an annoying screeching should comes from it because hits the door. They said they don’t want to give me deposit back because of the damages from the wall and bathroom cabinet. In actuality, there were leaks from the hall area and bathroom that caused damages to the cabinet and wall. You can even see the water dripping with the last two pictures.
Advice to owner:
Actually do your job.
