Great apartment but terrible management

Pros:
Good location, dishwasher and laundry in unit, updated unit
Cons:
Terrible management who always put up a fight and never took issues seriously. Said work needed to be done in the unit and we had to live somewhere else while they fixed it. Nothing needed to be done and it was a constant battle so ultimately moved out of the building

Our landlord took over the building in 2019. At first we thought he would be great, but soon learned he has not cared to take care of the building. Phone calls went unanswered, requests to fix things were ignored. His goal since her purchased was to try to get us out. He attempted to wrongfully evict us in April 2020. With nowhere to go in the middle of the pandemic, we fought back and stayed. We eventually gave up and moved out. During our walkthrough, he told us he had to do piping work in the unit that’s why we needed to leave. And if we wanted to come back after it was complete we could. A few days later our unit was listed on street easy for $350 more in rent. He is not a good person. He is a liar and a cheat. Do not move into this building. He doesn’t care about his tenants.
