FILTHY RAT HOLE, IRRESPONSIBLE LANDLORD, NO RETUNING DEPOSIT
Former Tenant
Pros:
Was cheap when we moved in but the new rent is no longer cheap. Absolutely not worth the millions of problems in this place.
Cons:
1. Landlord is irresponsible and full of lies. The building especially the basement is full of rats and he refuses to do anything about it because he's cheap. He even let a dead rat rot in our front yard for days, flies all around it.
Yet he claim this building has no history of pests, just look at the countless violations in this building bro, if you're still thinking about living here with current $2600 listed rent you need to think again.
2. Once police came and took someone from the landlord's apartment and they refuse to explain. (Landlord lives in the building)
3. THEY OFTEN CUT HEAT IN WINTER or leave it on high at hot days just because they're not home. Are you not aware you're taking rent from multiple other people living in the building!?
4. We always get notes about Luther's unpaid bills on the door. In general unreliable person. If you meet him he would also keep talking nonsense to you.
5. Things in the apartment are falling apart. Super uneven floor that makes you dizzy. You can't find the landlord to fix broken things.
6. There was no cleaning before we move in. Absolutely filthy, we cleaned for a whole day to make it barely livable. In the following time the apartment also gets dusty easily, bad windows. The basement (where the laundry machines are) is also a disaster.
7. Loud neighbors in the front and in the back. There are always parties in this block and they can go on until 2am.
8. Landlords play dead after we moved out and ask for deposit.
Advice to owner:
Be a decent human being and take responsibilities for the rent you charge from your tenants.

It’s a shitty building in a shitty area. Everything is bad.
Advice to owner:
Just renovated it or sell it, then maybe other people will renovate it.
