I liked living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Really pretty apartment that was well maintained. Management was usually responsive and helpful. They quickly returned my security deposit after I moved out.
Cons:
Sometimes the recycling rooms got over filled. My unit had tall ceilings and big windows so heating/cooling was $$$

Lying building manager
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has very nice amenities including a 9 sitter movie theater, rooftop, gym, bicycle storage room and lounge room with a pool table.
Cons:
Our 3 bedroom apartment had an issue in one of the bedrooms with fairly loud noise coming from a bar downstairs. That was such a big issue that it drove our roommate to leave in the middle of the leases because the bedroom was unlivable.
Previous tenants confirmed that the noise from the bar was the reason why they moved out and they have notified the building management about this issue.
Yet, we were not informed about it when we rented it. Moreover, the building management didn’t even acknowledge that they are aware of the issue when we brought it up.

In addition to that, conniving building manager says one thing to your face and does another thing behind your back. He conducts his business only over the phone or in person, not in writing, which is fairly strange by any modern business practice standards.
Advice to owner:
Have a staff that acknowledges mistakes and building manager that doesn’t make tenants feel like they are being manipulated and harassed.

a decent building
Former Tenant
Pros:
easy garbage disposal, never had an issue with water pressure or hot water/heat/AC, nice roof deck
Cons:
some of my neighbors have loud parties at hours when normal people are asleep.
Advice to owner:
maybe take noise complaints a little more seriously

“LUXURY APARTMENT” with non luxury amenities/location/management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Views of Manhattan and private roof space. Central air. Cool Neighbors
Cons:
Management never follows through and like most always does the cheapest “jimmy rigged” fixes where you’ll have the same issue next year for the next tenant that aimlessly rents. Plus amenities never were fully operational (gym, movie theater) and it’s two blocks away from the most active gang territories in Bedstuy where someone had a bullet go through their window one day. Not for everyone!!! Also they only had security fri-sat eve and that ended when covid hit.
Advice to owner:
Stop being cheap and actually get security. Also stop charging Williamsburg prices for something that’s subpar.

Great building but can be very loud
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great management and super
Cons:
A ton of noise from neighbors. Walls are thin.
Advice to owner:
More active warnings to those moving in that they can’t be loud. Some parties were insanely loud.
