Roaches, mice, mold, water damage
Former Tenant
Pros:
Price was kind of okay
Cons:
Whole apartment building was infested with roaches and they don’t do anything about it. (Doesn’t matter how clean and sterile we kept our apt, we kept seeing roaches. The whole building just needs to be renovated). Also saw mice. Mold in the a/c units and in the windows/bathrooms. Tried contacting management about problems and they never resolve anything, also very rude. First floor apartments got flooded and have water damage, but they didn’t do anything to fix it. Don’t make new renters aware of the flood damage either. Only one washing machine works. Contacted management many times to fix the other washer, but they literally never fixed it (or anything else).
Advice to owner:
Actually make changes and stop renting to new people until you fix the long list of issues.

Worst building management I've ever experienced
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighbors, cute (in theory) space
Cons:
I strongly caution anyone from these landlords unless you are prepared to live in a neglected property with roaches, rats, and a constant leak/flooding problem. Management and maintenance are incredibly unresponsive and extremely rude when they do "help". They send unlicensed workers who often leave units in worse conditions than they found them. The neighbors are all super lovely and friendly – ask them about their experience here before you sign a lease with this company.

Get everything in writing from these people, seriously. The units are photographed and priced to look like "luxury" apartments but they are anything but.

p.s. Google this address. They are currently being sued for 500k for the negligence and harassment they put some of their tenants through.
Advice to owner:
Hire a management company and set up routine pest control. Saving money via negligence is not a business model.

Really think about it before you sign
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenient location, new fixtures and appliances.
Cons:
Landlord/management was awful about responding to problems, especially pest control (rats and roaches). Flooding was a recurring issue in the laundry room and dirt/damage from it was not cleaned up in a timely manner.

Low rent and nice building don't make up for Crap-tastic landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent is reasonable in theory. Tenants are friendly, considerate, and helpful. One block from J train. At least 3 bus lines within 2 blocks.
Cons:
Crap-tastic landlord. Tenants have complained about flooding any time it rains. Landlord fails to address tenant concerns in a timely, reasonable, or appropriate time frame, (if ever.)
Advice to owner:
Get a building manager if you can not keep up with the property by yourself.
