Don’t live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are pretty spacious and cheap for what you get.
Cons:
Everything. There’s roaches everywhere, rats in the walls, and creepy men who smoke cigarettes and drink all hours of the day and play loud music in the lobby with no regards to their neighbors. It always smells disgusting and the landlord is extremely unresponsive.
Advice to owner:
There aren’t enough words in the english language to describe how much i hate you

Building going downhill
Former Tenant
Pros:
The pros of that you need a transportation.
Cons:
The cons is that the fact that the rat infestation in the backyard, you have neighbors who play music from 7:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. And then you have other neighbors who wake up and play music from 3:00 to 7:00 a.m. in the morning. The cameras in the building don't work so anyone can steal your package and you'll never know who did it.
Advice to owner:
Fix the cameras in the hallway Make sure that the hallway in the backyard is not rat infested and roach infested

Spacious but gritty
Former Tenant
Pros:
Wide open apartment, lighting is great, trees nearby for cat entertainment, newly renovated, short stairway, buzzer/intercom for door, rent stabilized
Cons:
First floor neighbors upkeep similar to 3rd world country, improper notification of bed bugs in building, lazy super who gives up easily, owned by mega-commercial real estate company that does not care about quality/care of building, poor upkeep of trash in back of building drop off, rats inside the walls all year long, constant leaks that are not properly fixed and keep happening
Advice to owner:
Have a reason and justification before you try to kick people out of the building to raise rent. Set up rules, get working security, and enforce cleanliness with accountability. Give the live-in super the tools and support he needs or hire someone useful. Adhere to proper regulations when it comes to bed bugs. Management is negligent and counts this building as another in its large orthodox real estate portfolio. Give a shit and maybe the tenants will. Being cheap hurts you in the end.
