More ups than downs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Small building not a lot of foot traffic. 2 rooftops. Friendly neighbors. Online rent payment portal.
Cons:
One washer and dryer for 7 units. Both are frequently broken without notice. Landlord can take a few days to respond. Management sends someone to clean only the 1st floor and the stairs maybe every other month. The building has silverfish found one in my bathtub. The split acs are expensive to operate. There isn’t a radiator so you pay for your own heating. I have to use a space heater in each room it runs me about $400 a month during the winter.
Advice to owner:
More frequent cleaners, washers and dryers, furniture to use on the roof.
