Not worth living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, exposed brick, and stain glass window details but does not a livable place make — good features I guess…???
Cons:
Roaches even after exterminator, damp air quality (had to invest in dehumidifies), front door lock is loose // at one point it broke and they left us without a lock for over 24 hours, mold went untreated upon move on, kitchen sink didn’t provide hot water upon move in, floors are warped and susceptible to collapse over time, creaky wooden stairs that you can easily hear whenever someone is on them, some bedroom doors don’t shut or are difficult to shut because they’re warped and don’t fit the door frame (my bedroom door didn’t have a lock), I honestly could go on and on, but what I’ve listened was more than enough to make me never wanna live here again.
Advice to owner:
Entire building needs complete renovation — it’s clear you rent to people who have no living standards

Good first NYC apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful! Large apartments with hardwood and exposed brick
Cons:
Dirty, old. Moldy. Outpost club is terrible about being responsive when it comes to rental issues.
Advice to owner:
Actually communicate with your tenants properly!

Outpost Club is awful.
Former Tenant
Pros:
I love the location as it’s convenient to both the A/C and J trains. Bed Stuy is a beautiful neighborhood with some blocks being lucky enough to have owners that care about gardening and keeping the sidewalks clean.
Cons:
This building is dingy. Like no matter how much you sweep and mop it still feels dirty. Part of it is bad lighting but another is damaged floors and water damaged walls. Many people here are transient only staying for 6 months to a year so they have no pride in the building.
Advice to owner:
My advice is to ditch Outpost. They encourage this awful treatment and poor maintenance. It seems like your goal is to rent high to as many careless out of towners as possible. With little invested on maintenance. However you’d make more money renting to people with a sense of pride in their surroundings.

Outpost management isn't great but the roommates are
Former Tenant
Pros:
I like the neighborhood that it is located. There are plenty of places to shop and great access to food. The neighbors are friendly and overall respectful of each other. The noise isn't bad at all.
Cons:
The floors creaks a lot and you can hear people walking up the steps all the time. On the flight up, there is a block of wood missing leaving exposed nails so I caution using the railing. Wifi connection is very poor. I work from home and ended up needing to go to the office to complete tasks since it would shut off or disconnect so often.
Advice to owner:
I would advise to upgrade the flooring so the creaking is not so bad. I appreciate the monthly inspections and am very satisfied with the new landlord. The previous one did not do his best.
