Management will lead you on
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management will send workers out for an issue in apartments fairly quickly.
Central air and heat work great.
Very quiet building, friendly nieghbors if you happen to see one.
Cons:
Package thefts occur frequently. No video cameras on the premise. They have them installed but they don't work. Management blames it on "connectivity issues" as if we're in the foothills of West Virginia and not in a major metropolitan city. Management will tell you it is not thier problem and to call police. They will lead you on and say that they are working on a solution but they won't ever (lived there for 2 years with them promising "lockers").
Apartments smell like gas but management will say that they sent someone in to check air quality and it "was fine". It is likely the old stoves in the apartment but they won't take accountability.
Central air conditioner drains into same pipe as bathroom sink so the sink will clog about 2 times a year, that is just standard there.
Garbage is always flying around the parking lot in the back of the building. They have only a few bins for recycling but they do not have lids for the bins and there is far more recycling than bins provided.
Management will take their time with returning your security deposit when and if you move out. I have still not received mine and I moved out end of November 2020 (it is now end of December 2020).
Advice to owner:
Advice to property owner would be to understand that your tenants are not as stupid as you'd like to think. When you promise something, follow through. Take the security of your building seriously and respect your building enough to ensure that garbage isn't lying around outside day in and day out.
