Building From Hell
Former Tenant
Pros:
The unit was renovated and the space was big. We had laundry in unit as well as a dishwasher which was very convenient.
Cons:
The original landlord defaulted on the mortgage payments so the building was taken away from him and appointed to a lawyer. This lawyer clearly did not care nor have the time to communicate what happened, maintain the building, or give our deposit back. We were stuck in this building for 2 years dealing with the filth, multiple breaks in through the main door of the building, and constant issues with the apartment that went unresolved. We has to fight to get anything cleaned, to have a bursting pipe fixed, and then to get our deposit back.
Advice to owner:
Literally give up this building or sell it. Tenants deserve a building management and a super to reach out to for any issues. It is not right to make someone pay rent to live in an empty dirty building.
