Rude Neighbors On This Street
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building was nicely updated. We had a brand new kitchen and bathroom.
Cons:
Surrounding neighbors (who live outside the building) don’t care about you. They sit on your stoop and get mad when you need to get into the building you live in. The regularly have parties using your stoop (that you can also hear inside your apartment) and leave trash on the steps like spilled milkshakes, chicken bones, food wrapper, straws, cups…. I also once got locked outside my apartment with my dog inside and couldn’t get ahold of my super, building manager, or building owner for almost 7 hours…. (And this was in the late afternoon…) I ended up being able to get into my apartment with the credit card trick which says something about building safety.
We also had to move out only 4 months into our lease because they told us the building was being sold. The compensation they gave us for that “inconvenience” didn’t even cover the moving expense.
