Lack of Communication
Former Tenant
Pros:
Most of the neighbors are very nice and helpful people.
Cons:
Lots of cockroaches and the landlord/management company is not very helpful and takes a long time for assistance and maintenance.

Overall pretty good experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
This has been my best experience renting in ny meanwhile, I've been living in several buildings in the past 5 years, and I would've loved to stay! My reason for moving bec am splitting with my roommate and am now looking for a one bedroom! I wish they had one for me!
Cons:
no complaints really!
Advice to owner:
Thanks for the past 2 years! You've been great!

Good luck getting a response from mgmt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is generally clean, somewhat well-maintained, and most importantly, because it’s old construction, most apartments are rent stabilized. Recent renos on some units are decent, though not aging incredibly well and prone to breaks and leaks.
Cons:
I’ve lived here for a while now and can say that management is incredibly unresponsive. You have to contact them 6-8 times to get a response about even urgent, current issues in your unit, and even then, they always try to send the super, who doesn’t actually know what he’s doing re: plumbing, electric, etc…my apartment flooded when they tried to replace some of the radiator pipes in the basement, I had a leaky sink for months, my bathtub simply does not drain properly no matter what, and the walls are thin as hell. I can smell neighbors smoking cigs (note: this is supposed to be a non-smoking building) through the wall, and can listen to neighbors’ entire conversations. The building is also home to an amateur car speaker installation guy who works out front in most warm weather and tests his products so loudly that they literally rattle anything on your wall. And finally, the building has a rotating cast of college kids sharing some of the bigger apartments who love to throw huge ragers on our not-up-to-code-for-that-kind-of-thing roof, literally stringing extension cords up there and installing terrible EDM DJs to serenade the neighborhood with really bad, frat bro music until like 2 AM many nights.
Advice to owner:
Respond to your tenants when they contact you. Being “away on holidays” for over a month is not a viable excuse. Fix the plumbing in the building and the radiators/boiler/piping.
