Pros:
The apartment is huge. You get two floors with rooms larger than most apartments in the cities.
Cons:
There is no door to your apartment. The owner lives on the 1st and Ground floor so the noise travels downstairs. You cannot have company as she will complain about the noise, no matter the time.
We had a mouse problem the entire time we lived there, but she would never hire an exterminator but rather call her nephew to put down glue traps.
Also - you must remove all the trash. The rent was not cheap, and she could certainly afford a super to do so, but instead, it is on the tenants to even bring out her trash!! It was insane how rude. We thought we hit the jackpot with this apartment but turned out to be living in hell.
Lastly - once she finally returned our security deposit we were doxed 60% of it. She would not provide receipts for labor or repairs. She also would not mail it but insisted we come pick it up -- nearly three months after we moved out.
Advice to owner:
When you sign a lease, you become a tenant in the home, not a guest :) That was our home too and you treated us terribly.
