Bad bad bad!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great backyard space for the first floor apartment.
Cons:
The basement was listed as a third bedroom despite having no windows. This basement flooded three times in the year that I lived there. All heating for the apartment was electric and so expensive. I have since learned the nyc housing laws require the heat and water are paid by the landlord. Charging us for heat was illegal.
Advice to owner:
Pay for heat as legally required. Fix your flooding issue. Read up on nyc housing laws.

Landlord is a no, neighborhood is a yes
Former Tenant
Pros:
renovated, easy access neighborhood, neighbors
Cons:
Cheap equipment, cheap maintenance, lack of care from staff, landlords exploits, overcharges, denied repairs, manipulating economic conditions, discrimination from landlord
Advice to owner:
Treat tenants equally, take responsibility for mistakes or lack of care, study tenant laws, respect tenants rights
