subpar management and deposit theft

dishwasher that works, ac that sometimes does
Cons:
landlords never addressed repeated pest complaints, heating broke in the winter, management communicated that there was no damage to the apartment that would warrant the deposit being withheld then immediately sent an itemized bill claiming damage to the unit and refused to return deposit.
Advice to owner:
respond to pest complaints, don’t send emails about rent and deposits that are set to disappear after a certain amount of time, and return deposits when you say you will.

Inexpensive, “Renovated”, Two bathrooms
Cons:
Poor responses from management, mice, bugs. Exposed brick caused dust and mess.
Advice to owner:
Respond quicker to issues. Our dishwasher wasn’t screwed into the wall for 6 months despite multiple requests

Quit taking short cuts and the “cheaper route” and higher real maintenance companies and give tenants their deposits back!
