Pros:
The space is excellent: high ceilings, bedroom sizes are good and there are plenty of closets. Parlor room gets plenty of afternoon sunlight. Location is on a pleasant block in Bed Stuy with easy access to the C subway.
Cons:
The third floor heat in the Summer is challenging, especially in the street facing bedroom which has small windows that do not allow much ventilation, and there is no AC unit. The ceiling in the rear bedroom had a severe leak which was not properly patched in the year that I lived there. The kitchen also had a leak along one open brick wall that was never addressed after several complaints. The kitchen setup is not ideal: old fridge, old cabinets that do not properly shut, and a dishwasher that is difficult to load. It’s a dark kitchen that isn’t welcoming. The other major appliance: washer and dryer are aging and do not work well.
