Pros:
Eric is personable and fun to talk to. Low rent for the size of the apartment. Good neighbors in building.
Cons:
Resistant to fixing major issues within the units. Door and window framing was so old and warped. You could see daylight around the entire perimeter of the back door. The back windows wouldn't shut to the point you could stick your fingers between the sashes and reach the outside. Add to this a radiator that they also refused to fix and we had months and months in the winter of waking up to 50 degree temperatures. The area in the back that we sealed off with blankets and plastic sheeting would be in the low 40s. Dog had to sleep in a sleeping bag. The issue was brought up MANY times. Once Candace literally told me, "This is a very old house," as her excuse as if ppl don't have to maintain physical upkeep of old buildings. FINALLY, the next winter, Candace agreed to turn up the heat as opposed to fixing anything, even though we were then, "risking making the upper apartment too hot." Looking back we really should have reported all of this.

Additionally, I maintained the cleanliness of common spaces myself.... Vacuuming, etc.

Maintain basic standards for human occupation. Trust your tenants.
