It's technically an apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenient location, good light, interior of apartment looks pretty modern, affordable rent (though landlord is raising rent for the coming year, so may not be relevant to new tenants?)
Cons:
Common areas are extremely neglected and dirty. Major issues in the building have taken a long time to be fixed - hot water was out for a couple of weeks, and for at least a few weeks the front door was broken & unlocked. Stove in unit hasn't worked in about a month, so we haven't been able to cook. Also no dishwasher or laundry but that goes without saying
Advice to owner:
Make improvements to the building and common spaces and be responsive to tenants (or ... be honest with yourself/everyone about the state of the building and don't raise rent)
