Top floor review
Former Tenant
Pros:
-close to all subways
-neighbors are quiet
-good light
-close to parks
-washer/dryer in unit
-dishwasher
-never saw roaches or mice in the unit
Cons:
-mosquitoes live inside somehow and you get them all year round
-top floor is brutally hot in the summer
-bishop Loughlin (HS across the street) has a flashing neon sign on all the time, including at night. we emailed and called the school to try to get them to turn it off especially during covid, but they only did it for a short time. Curtains needed to block the flashing at night otherwise they'll keep you up
-noisy block on noisy corner (lots of honking)
-garbage cans are immediately out front and always overflowing
-management rarely cleans the hallway
Advice to owner:
-windows and heaters could be repaired
-fix garbage situation out front to a better system that doesn't overflow
-periodic hall cleaning
