Pros:
The location is convenient. Best for a desensitized person, who isn’t home a lot or/and has low standards.
The building *could be* beautiful but it’s in desperate need of repairs and upgrades, even little ones would be an improvement . She won’t do or will do it and make it worse.
So cheap it doesn’t make any sense.
Her manipulative manner and refusal to help or protect the tenants made it a very unpeaceful home. Pits tenants against one another, gossips and lies about tenants to each other. Even will put your personal business on blast in a group email. She’s awful.
Sometimes over 100 degrees upstairs, no fans or AC, occasional heat that reeks like toxins, that she manually turns on and off (mostly off) as she desires (to save herself money)
An Assortment of bugs.
Ugly decor and dirty af because unless you clean, nobody will do it
Oh sorry was this the PROS?
PROS: our neighbor across the Street is awesome. And the corner store Greene Bites is really great, and open 24/7
Basically the pros are all outside of the house.
Oh it’s near the park, subway lines and independent shops cafes, and corporate stores (Target, Whole Foods)
Again, all outside of the house :)
Cons:
Owner tries to TRICK and bully tenants out of money. This continues all year.
Tenants have even called 911 on her for her behavior and harassment.
Owner is the cheapest person living, and can’t stand the thought of spending. She has some weird issue with money and will blame tenants for any due repairs. This includes broken boilers, broken old af pipes and clogs, broken windows and frames, leaks from bathroom to bathroom, flooding…
The boiler broke last winter and we had *no heat* She wanted us to wear sweaters inside and use electric blankets, In Jan. No apologies and she wouldn’t let us use space heaters for warmth.
She’s insane.
She doesn’t clean or keep up her space or the time. She Fixes things with literal duck tape and white paint.
Trash area could be a nice patio garden, but of course it’s ugly and gross. It looks like a junk yard.
Advice to owner:
Nothing. You’d have an easier time trying to advise Donald Trump.
What’s the point when the person is an unreasonable, brick wall?
