Recent reviews for 56 S 11 St, Brooklyn, depict a mixed living experience. Tenants value affordable rents, spacious lofts, and a walkable neighborhood with access to groceries and public transport. Positives include quiet surroundings and friendly neighbors fostering a community feel. However, drawbacks include outdated heating with poor insulation, inconsistent management responsiveness, pest issues during summer, and misleading descriptions regarding amenities like central air and rooftop access. Noise levels and garbage management vary, and some complain about high utility costs and lack of on-site laundry. Overall, renters advise improvements in management communication and maintenance to elevate living standards.

OK building – not the best

Pros

My room was inexpensive

Cons

Common area did not have a window. Electricity bills were quite high. Location is not really close to either the L or M trains. Garbage is typically pretty miskept and is outside. No laundry on-site, must go to a building across the street for laundry.
