You should pass
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartment is cute and has great lighting, good location.
Cons:
We had a mice problem for 8 months and any time we brought it up, someone would just give us glue traps and poison. Spent a lot of our own money on an exterminator to fix the problem. Heat is very inconsistent, mold in apartments, serious problem with packages being stolen. Don’t recommend.

Beware of car wash/ car repair shop its loud
Former Tenant
Pros:
Proximity to transit and grocery store, nice neighbors in building, spacious living spaces
Cons:
Waking up to the car wash/repair shop next door every morning. They start going at 6AM and don’t quite until 6 PM. When it rains, you’ll wake up to them power washing. Technically in Williamsburg but not close super close to cute shops/stores/ etc.
Advice to owner:
Talk to the car wash about noise

worst apartment I’ve lived in
Former Tenant
Pros:
- location isn’t terribly close to anything, but if you’re looking to live in williamsburg this is technically it - most people that live in the building are friendly - recently a tenant association formed and is fighting management for better rent and conditions
Cons:
- roaches everywhere and management has done next to nothing to fix it - leaks and bad plumbing that management does not fix - poor insulation and drafty - extremely loud location (FDNY and NYPD stations along with a car wash next door) - hot water and heat are not consistent during the winter - if you happen to live in a rent stabilized unit, management will make you fix/repair essentially everything on your own (this includes things like appliances: stove, refrigerator, etc.) - super is not responsive
Advice to owner:
- with the amount you’re overcharging tenants, you should be able to afford basic repairs and amenities for the building

Not the best
Former Tenant
Pros:
In a good area, nice neighbors, easy access to j/m/l/g trains
Cons:
Hard to get maintenance done in reasonable amount of time, super is hard to contact, constant pests ( mice and bugs)
Advice to owner:
Take your residents requests into account, stop ignoring resident concerns

Located next to a car wash ...
Former Tenant
Pros:
Bodega on the corner is nice. Located near JMZ and G lines. Across from a Walgreens and Brooklyn Harvest market. Parking isn’t bad in the area. Manageable walk to nice part of Williamsburg. Nice people in building.
Cons:
This building gets AWFUL light. It is also located next to a CAR WASH that is open 365 days a year, 7am to 6pm without fail. The days it rains, they power wash. It’s like living next to an active construction site that will NEVER go away. Also, ceilings are paper thin. If you’re not at the top unit, you will hear you upper neighbors every move.
Advice to owner:
Become friends with the carwash- see if they can work on the cars they clean BLASTING music.
