Pros:
Property management was responsive but you have to follow up regarding repairs. Once you do, they will follow through with them
Cons:
Noise levels from the bar below and street
Pests - mice and cockroaches despite the building spraying monthly. It is New York though.
Heat - it gets very hot in the spring and summer. There’s almost zero insulation
Cold - while the building does run the heat, it’s on during odd hours and the apartment tends to run cold due to lack of sufficient insulation.
Location - close to the subway, but it is greenpoint, so account for extra budget for Lyfts etc. G is often closed due to construction as is the L on the weekends.
Rent - rent is way too expensive for what the apartment is. The bedrooms are small and compared to other luxury buildings in the neighborhood, the rent price is a few hundred dollars less.
