Good but has its flaws
Former Tenant
Pros:
Historical building in great location and neighborhood. Live in super is amazing and his team very responsive and helpful when issues arise
Cons:
Neighbors are extremely loud and will slam their doors and yell in the hallway. Because of the building structure it’s very easy to hear everything. Lots of trash and building materials left out in the hallways and the entrance/mail area desperately needs a refresh. Management does not really take complaints about the neighbors or problematic tenants seriously.
Advice to owner:
Better get your tenants and stop raising the rent for no reason

Astral Apartments Review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location, super old building with good bones and very thick walls. Barely heard the neighbors once in six years of living there.
Cons:
Building is OLD, and very difficult to clean. It can take 20 minutes before the shower runs hot. Landlord and building management are crooks.

Character comes at a cost
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, very good neighbors and responsive management.
Cons:
Building is falling apart and you can feel that it isn't being taken care of. Since I moved in three months ago there have been a lot of thing in need of maintenance / repairs (windows, bathroom, oven) and while the on-site team does a good job of responding, fix-ups are quick and sloppy.
Advice to owner:
Invest in much-needed repair of building to save yourself the cost of constant and inadequate upkeep.

Really bad landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet, neighbors were great, big space, amazing historic building
Cons:
Terrible condition, entire place floored with gross linoleum, was hell to get the super to fix anything. Spent several months with a tarp taped over a hole in my bathroom ceiling. The heat/hot water constantly went out.
Advice to owner:
Take better care of this special historic building!
