The building manager was unresponsive and unqualified.
Former Tenant
Pros:
I lived on the ground level, so access to a private backyard was nice. Appliances were new.
Cons:
The building heat was never consistent on only on for brief moments. A very cold winter! Managements response was “what times should we turn the heat on”, when it cold the entire day. Pest problems that they refused to address. Rats in the wall that they wouldn’t address because the hole came from the neighbor. Rats would die in the walls and flesh flies would come into the apartment from the vents. Also the building owners forgot when our lease ended and listed our apartment as an open house with no realtor during COVID. They gave people access to latch without noticing us and advertised as an open walk in. The latch system to the front door wasn’t sent up properly though (apartment door was) so people couldn’t get in, which is just the perfect way to sum up how disorganized this owner group is.
Advice to owner:
Don’t employ a building manager who has no experience and is straight out of college. I’m assuming there’s some form of nepotism here.

Avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Mostly quiet building, mix of families and couples
Cons:
Had a terrible experience living here. From the super to the landlord there was a complete lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to accept responsibility on multiple issues. Other tenants in the building experienced similar frustrations and attempted to break their lease. It is an old building in need of extensive repairs with shiny surface level additions to serve as a distraction. Do not consider this place as your future home.
Advice to owner:
Nothing at this time
