Mice issue and messy neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is good and the apartment is spacious, but do not live here!
Cons:
There is absolutely no upkeep to the common areas of the building. It is always dirty, smelly and things are often left in the entranceway for months. Property owner's family lives in top floor apartment and leaves 30 pairs of shoes in the shared areas and does not clean up after themselves. The block is also noisy and the windows are cheaply built letting in a lot of noise. I had a ton of issues with mice and landlord did nothing to help. No not recommend this building. I also want to add that I filled all the holes in the walls and painted over them and the landlord still kept $1000 of my security deposit saying. She is a horrible, mean individual and verbally abusive. Do not rent her apartment and put up with her abuse!

Horrible slumlord owning several properties on Norman
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice neighbors good area
Cons:
Live on 184 Norman if you would like to have a disaster on your hands. The building has never been maintained properly but instead a series superficial renovations in order to deceive future tenants. Ameena is a mean spirited woman who takes advantage of her tenants and verbally abuses them until they leave. When she decides she can get more money from your unit you WILL be pushed out. At first you will get a deal but then over time be subject to unlivable conditions that she refuses to fix. Roach and mice infestations, black mold, broken pipes, gas leaks and more. At first it will be great, but then you will experience her abuse and manipulation.. The landlord owns the flower shop, laundromat mat, the grill and both buildings on Jewel and Norman intersection. Absolute horrible slumlord. Doesn’t care about anything other than greed and money, especially not your safety. Beware of this miserable place.
Advice to owner:
Learn how to be professional and respectful towards your tenants
