racist, homophobic, sexist, corrupt, and criminal landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
close to mccarren park, close to the G train
Cons:
The landlord and her son have been conducting a rent stabilization fraud scheme since the purchase of the building. Upon tenant discovery of RS status, they have harassed the tenants of color to extreme extents for years and falsified documents submitted to the state in a desperate effort to force tenants out and hide their crimes. One unit has been identified as RENT STABILIZED by the NY State Dept. of Housing and Community Renewal and another is soon to follow. The state has acknowledged that the landlord has been illegally overcharging the tenant’s rent.
The landlords DO NOT do ANY of the TONS of repairs needed and DO NOT tend to ANY of the waterbug (giant flying roaches) or mice infestations. There is mold in the building as well.
The landlord and her son own and manage other property in the neighborhood. 86 Berry and 922 Manhattan Ave.
Some of the neighbors in the building were planted in their units to monitor and or harass the tenants of color to help the landlords force them out. The neighbors are disrespectful and unbearably loud and have thrown trashy parties throughout the pandemic.
The landlord and trashy neighbors have not implemented or taken any covid 19 precautions throughout the entire pandemic. They have intentionally flouted any and all safety precautions.
The building’s storefront tenants are disrespectful, loud, and support the landlord.
