Great building/nice people
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Landlord is very responsible/reliable, and they actively keep the building and surrounding street areas clean - I've had no real issues with pests in the 3 years I've lived there, they spray regularly. - It's in a very safe part of Greenpoint, close enough to the main road, but far enough that it's not too noisy - The neighbors are generally older and Polish, and all seem to know each other/have lived on the street for a while - No issues with past flooding or mold of any kind
Cons:
- The building is older and does look a little run down when you first walk in, but my apartment is fully renovated and the common hallway is cleaned often - There's a school at the other end of the street so you hear kids shouting at certain times of the day, and they shut down the street during their recess - The building has pretty low tolerance for any noise or parties. I've gotten told to be quiet on a Saturday night at 10pm when having a medium-sized party that was just people talking with some background music - Building has east/west facing windows so natural light is pretty low in the apartments - No roof access
