Don't rent from Mitch Slavuter
Former Tenant
Pros:
The pros aren't worth the cons
Cons:
The landlord is absolutely awful. I would never reccommend to rent or buy an apartment with Mitch Slavuter.

He tried to move us into the apartment while it was having active construction inside. There were power tools, ply wood, and dirt everywhere. We ended up not moving in on our lease start date and going 2 weeks without moving in due to the owner's carelessness.

The owner is incredibly unresponsive and lazy. Multiple times, we lost heat or hot water in our apartment, and the owner would take a week or more to fix it. We had to threaten him, saying we would contact our own plumber and charge the bill to him, before he started responding.

The landlord also withheld an unreasonable amount of the security depsot for dirt on the floor and having to paint over holes in the wall (which we had already filled).

The building hallway was constantly filthy and dark. The building overall is poorly maintained due to Mitch's lack of responsibility and care. Our neighbors had a similar dislike for the landlord, and commonly complained about the hallway being dangerous for their young child.
Advice to owner:
You should stop being a landlord

Right next to a beautiful park, grocery store nearby and tons of bars/restaurants around.
Cons:
Took a while for management to clean up the halls .
